For Immediate Release May 10, 2005
Just in time for music festival season, CMH Records has released Hitting the High Notes: 2004 High Sierra Music Festival, a documentary concert DVD set at the premiere west coast summer music event. The 97-minute film, which features live performances by the Radiators, Leftover Salmon, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Particle and others, will have its theatrical world premiere at The Independent nightclub in San Francisco on June 13 as part of the Monday night film series. The event is free and will feature giveaways as well as an opportunity to meet the filmmakers and performers.
"We had so much fun making this film and I'm excited to share the fruits of our labors with all the music lovers out there," said producer-director Jason Koornick. "More than just High Sierra, Hitting the High Notes is a celebration of the festival experience in a broad sense - and all the best aspects of our music scene. It's a film of which the jamband community can be proud."
The DVD is available online, in retail stores across the country and at music festival booths throughout the summer. Attendees of the 2005 High Sierra Music Festival (June 30-July 3 in Quincy, CA) will be treated to a special screening of the film and can purchase the DVD at the discounted festival price of $12.98 through the official High Sierra merchandise booth.
